PM Modi’s war drums in North East and South
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the Congress on Sunday and predicted that the party would be left with only one chief minister in a region after the elections in the North East, Karnataka and other states.
“I want to congratulate Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy because Congress is going to exhibit him as a specimen after June,” Modi said while addressing a public meeting in Puducherry.
“Do you know why? I will tell you. After the elections, only Puducherry will have a Congress CM ruling a region because the party will lose in all states,” he said, without referring to the Amarinder Singh-led Congress government in Punjab.
Modi urged intellectuals in the country to analyse the reasons for lack of progress in the country and asked them to compare 48 years of rule directly or indirectly by “one family” with the 48-month rule of the present BJP government at the Centre.
