Chandrababu Naidu says he believes in ‘mitra dharma’; won’t break away from NDA unless BJP wants it
Telugu Desam Party chairman and Andhra Praesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hinted that his party will not break away from the BJP, saying that he would never ‘break mitra dharma).
However, he added that if the BJP wants to differ, he will ‘do his namaskar’ and go his way, Zee News reported.
Naidu made these remarks at a press conference during which he also talked about his state’s future and the allocation of funds from the centre.
“What Centre is supposed to give is the right of the state. We will not leave it, but I won’t sit idle crying that the Centre did not give something, I have to build up a state,” the TDP leader said.
Remarks from Chandrababu Naidu came days after it was reported that all is not well between the TDP and BJP.
Media reports earlier said that the TDP was mulling to severe alliance with BJP for allegedly ignoring the interests of the state in the Budget 2018-19, including the unified demand for granting a ‘special status’ to Andhra Pradesh.
