Robert Downey Jr reveals ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ is still happening
It’s been more than seven years since we saw Robert Downey Jr play Sherlock Holmes. After Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows came out, director Guy Ritchie and RDJ himself had talked about the third movie in the franchise. But since, it felt like no progress was made in that direction.
Then in 2016, a Variety report revealed that Warner Bros hired an army of writers to come up with the script for the sleuth’s adventures.
This writers’ room, responsible for reshaping one of the Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories, comprises of Nicole Perlman of Guardians of the Galaxy, Justin Malen of Baywatch, Gary Whitta of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Geneva Dworet-Robertson of Tomb Raider, and Kieran Fitzgerald of Snowden.
The report also said that Jude Law will be reprising his role of Dr John Watson and Guy Ritchie coming back to helm the project.
Then everything went silent on that front until RDJ in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly talked about his future projects apart from his duties in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
