Micro-control of liver metabolism
A new discovery has shed light on small RNAs called microRNAs in the liver that regulate fat and glucose metabolism. Research shows that a molecular anticipation, during fast to re-feed transition, is essential for capping glucose production by the liver. This novel control enables a rapid switch in physiology following food consumption.
