Lizard skull fossil is new and ‘perplexing’ extinct species
A new species of extinct lizard, Kopidosaurus perplexus, has just been described. The first part of the name references the lizard’s distinct teeth; a ‘kopis’ is a curved blade used in ancient Greece.
