Khattar assures Jats on quota
In all, a delegation of 55 representatives from different states would meet the Prime Minister on Thursday.
Reservation to jats will continue in Haryana, said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in a meeting with representatives of khap panchayats and other groups who had called on him Wednesday. “The state government has not cancelled reservation to the Jat community in the state and it will continue,” said Khattar.
He also assured the community of all help on the issue of reservation in the Centre in the light of the Supreme Court’s decision against inclusion of Jats in the OBC category.
“The state government is sensitive towards the Jat community’s interest and assures them full cooperation on the issue of reservation within the framework of law. We are ready to provide any help, including legal assistance,” Khattar said.
