Jammu and Kashmir | 5 terrorists gunned down in separate encounters, ‘raining whole night,’ tweets DGP
Three terrorists were gunned down in a joint operation by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Handwara on Monday.
Giving out the details of the encounter, Jammu and Kashmir’ Director General of Police, SP Vaid tweeted that, “In Unisoo, Handwara all the three terrorists apparently Pakistanis have been neutralised.”
He also said that the anti-terror operation was carried out by the joint team of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Rashtriya Rifles and the CRPF.

Lauding the valour of the men involved in the encounter, Vaid also said that ‘It has been raining whole night & boys were out there in the cold (sic).’
In a separate operation, two terrorists were killed and one captured alive in Baramulla’s Bomai area. The encounter that started late on Sunday night ended after the security forces successfully neutralised the hiding terrorists. According to news agency ANI, the firing has stopped now and the search operation is underway.
