Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday presented Chancellor Angela Merkel with some manuscripts and papers by noted Indian physicist Sir C V Raman. C V Raman’s pathbreaking work on light scattering had earned him the 1930 Nobel Prize for Physics.
Sir CV Raman, who could read German, also invited leading German scientists of the time to Calcutta University & IISc, Bangalore.
