Why Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor’s film is titled ‘Bombay Velvet’

Anurag Kashyap’s forthcoming film, ‘Bombay Velvet’ set in Bombay of the 60s has everyone waiting with baited breath to see Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor onscreen together for the first time.

While the casting definitely had us excited, what was even more intriguing was the film’s title. It has been revealed that the film gets its name from the nightclub ‘Bombay Velvet’. It is at this nightclub that Anushka Sharma works as a jazz singer, while Ranbir Kapoor is the manager.

Many of the film’s important events also take place here.
