Alliance of Janata Parivar requires new political line, says Kerala JD(U) faction
Veerendrakumar openly expressed his displeasure with the Congress leadership.
Kerala faction of Janata Dal (U), an ally of ruling Congress-led United Democratic Front, on Saturday said the new alliance of Janata Parivar required a new political line.
After a meeting with state leaders, JD(U) state president M P Veerendrakumar said they would consult national leadership on whether to continue in the UDF or not.
He said the changed political scenario called for a fresh look at everything, including political alliances.

Congress did not give due consideration to the party.
“If our party were with the LDF during the last assembly elections, it would have retained power in Kerala.
Veerendrakumar, however, said that Congress should reveal its report about his defeat in last Lok Sabha election in Palakkad constituency.
Congress had forced me to contest from Palakkad and they worked for my defeat, he said.
JD(U) has two legislators in the assembly. It is the party’s decision on whether to continue in the UDF or quit. It is crucial for the government which is surviving on thin majority.
