Rajkummar Rao fond of reading biographies
Rajkummar Rao: I have always been intrigued by reading and watching biographies of various personalities.
National Award winning actor Rajkummar Rao apparently enjoys reading biographies.
The actor, who was recently honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation Award, has a keen interest when it comes to learning about the personalities of various people and their journeys. One of his best works, ‘Shahid’ was based on the life of lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi who was assassinated in 2010 in Mumbai.
Rajkummar’s performance was greatly appreciated and he became one of the youngest actors to bag a National Award.
Rao’s forthcoming film titled, ‘Aligarh’ is also based on the real life story of a professor of Aligarh University who falls in love with a rickshaw puller.
“I have always been intrigued by reading and watching biographies of various personalities. Shahid’s story was one of them. I find it quite interesting when a person’s life history is told to you with such minute detailing. It’s the only medium which gets you as close to reality,” says Rajkummar.
The actor will next be seen in Mohit Suri’s next, ‘Humaari Adhuri Kahaani’ with Vidya Balan followed by, Hansal Mehta’s ‘Aligarh’ alongside Manoj Bajpai.
