Jaipur: Gang procuring fake death docus SOGGED!
The Special Operations Group (SOG) on Friday busted a gang involved in insurance fraud. The gang used claim insurance money by procuring fake death certificates and postmortem reports of the people who are very much alive.
Shockingly, among the arrested include an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Rajasthan police, a government doctor, an investigator of an insurance company, bank manager and an advocate.
The arrested men have been identified as Raghuraj Chouhan (36), Rajesh Kumar (48), Dr. Satish Khandelwal (54), Chaturbhuj Meena (48), Rameshchandra (49) and Yashvant Chouhan.
“In October 2017, a criminal case relating to getting a fake postmortem conducted of one Jitendra Singh was registered at Kotwali police station of Dausa. Another similar case was registered at Ramgarh Pachwara police station of Dausa and sensing the hand of an organised gang in the matter, the case was handed over to SOG,” said Umesh Mishra, ADG – ATS and SOG.
The SOG launched investigation into the matter by forming a special team headed by DIG Sanjay Shotriya.
