2 killed, 3 injured in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar road accident
A joyride for five students, including three women, from different universities, had a tragic end when their speeding car rammed into the divider leaving two men dead, during the early hours on Sunday in northwest Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar. The three women were also injured. Police said drunk driving led to the accident.
According to the police, it was around 2:45 am, when the five were returning after a ride in an i20 car that the accident took place. The two deceased have been identified as Sidhartha (20), a resident of Pitam Pura and student of Maharaja Surajmal Shiksha Sansthan in Janak Puri, and Ritesh Dahiya (21) from Sonipat in Haryana, a BSc 2nd year student at Delhi University’s Venkateshwara College. The injured have been identified as Diksha Dadu, a resident of Delhi, Joshita Mohanty from Mumbai and Rashi Sharma from Meerut, all 1st year LLB students at Amity University, Noida.
