Senior officers of Jaipur Development Authority, Municipal Corporation and Smart City Limited, who gathered at signing of MoU for Smart City Expo, were reminded of maintaining the basic services. The chief secretary present as the chief guest on the occasion drew attention of the officials towards contemporary civic issues.
“Incidents such as stray animals assaulting a tourist deteriorate the image of the city and adversely impacts the tourism business,” said the chief secretary, DB Gupta. He also referred to the issues being faced with bus rapid transit system and asked the officials to ‘rectify the causes of public grievances’ to improve the system.
The chief secretary also explained his vision of a ‘smart city’, that included cleanliness and public safety along with the wireless connectivity and IT based solutions.
Earlier speaking on the occasion, additional chief secretary, PK Goyal also drew attention of the officials towards the basic objectives of civic development. “We have made considerable achievement in major infrastructure projects. Let’s not ignore the smaller works,” the ACS said.
The recommendations of the top officials had come in contrast of the list of achievements narrated by Jaipur Development Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner and CEO of Smart City.
